How many times do we feel relieved to arrive home and…just to get this bra off… Uhhhh… What a relief!!! Sometimes those men among us have no idea the constriction which these apparel put on our bodies at times. Yes – these bras have at times given us that “uplift” which we want to flaunt sometimes… Especially on a date night out… but other not so good times…they feel just horrible… I’m sure some if not almost all of you can appreciate this…
Then we got to doing some research, and reading just to see if the pros or cons (if any) of ditching the bra… This also came recently from reading a facebook post of a friend who said she was finished wearing her bras… So we found out that not wearing a bra at times can actually improve the shape of the breast. What we thought was bad news… your breast do not sag if you do not wear your bra. In fact, one french study suggests that it might really be the opposite. What compounded the issue was that many women just wear the wrong bra size… 😐
Wearing the wrong bra size particularly one which is smaller that what we should be wearing will also cause breasts to lose their shape over a period of time. Why? The “support” of bras tend to weaken the chest muscles. In other words – if a specific muscle group is not being used then they will weaken. Therefore, if the muscles in the chest are not being given a chance to “work” then naturally the breasts will start to droop.
There is therefore the recommendation that if we want to keep our breasts rounder and also perky, it is quite reasonable to let them do their own thing ever so often. Your bra hinders you from beautiful breasts…
Breast Tissue
We love that word – “healthy” and when used like this – bras may actually slow down and even hamper our ability to grow healthy breast tissue. This gave a little bit of scare, since – our breast tissue is important, furthermore for it to be healthy. Once we have healthy tissue – then the chances of various breast diseases are slightly lower. this is always good especially with our odds. This also means that healthy tissue and healthy chest muscle will naturally enhance our breasts. They’re stronger, larger, rounder and yup even more perky.
Sometimes our bras are so tight – they may even impact our respiratory system and prevent us from breathing to our true capacity. Less oxygen going into our lungs, brain and organs? Especially if we have had a long day… the underwire cuts into your skin and the straps are another nuisance at times. I know everyone will not agree with me, but sometimes when you go bra-less, the freedom is so good you just do not want to go back. Of course there is the initial fear that ever bloke will be watching you as you feel a bit more self-conscious.
There is also the norms of our society, what will others start to think and say behind my back… well, sometimes just say to-heck with it…and enjoy the moment. We like how one writer put in… “Wearing a bra is a choice, just as shaving and wearing makeup are, and societal expectations…” couldn’t have said it better…
What must be said, is that our bodies will now wiggle and jiggle a bit differently since our freedom… Did you hear it? Liberation. However with this new found freedom, and you have experienced back pain, then it also means that we are not advocating that you succumb to the pain…of course a bit of support “bra” may be necessary. Be sure to use the correct cup sizes…
